Lyrics

I see a man in the moon
And he’s looking back at me
My hands are in tune, but my soul just won’t believe
I am what I do, but it feels like there’s no me
The man in the moon, the man in the moon

You and I, we enjoy being high places
Keep finding little things that remind, saving
Screenshot of a Herculean treetop
Lemme rewind and I’ll recite, explain it
Years ago, I was outside stargazing
Then I peered to the right, looking at the moon
Couldn't believe my eyes, have I gone crazy
Then I realized i was looking up at you
Fast forward it to now, in a strange place
I’m staying in the shade, try to save face
Same attitude mixed with the same pain, I just realized the best way to avoid change
So I’m handing in my cards, let you figure out
Understand I’m in the wrong, but I still doubt
Can't plan where I gotta go from here, but the only thing clear, is that I really gotta make it out

I see a man in the moon
And he’s looking back at me
My hands are in tune, but my soul just won’t believe
I am what I do, but it feels like there’s no me
The man in the moon, the man in the moon

Stargazer, off to the gods, all later
Odds greater than one, so, great
Oddly the same reason I’m up down’s the same reason I’m earthbound so
Circle round
Paul’s coming later
Renovated my face, debated aquatinting with liminal spaces exhibit A’s this, aint been the same since
Since grade 6
Pulling weeds, fill my Jean pockets
Saving grains
Kid’s made it

Got the whole squad laughing, I’m so proud
The whole crowd’s clapping
Their phones out, microphones loud, have it so, so know now
I know it’s odd, happened
But hope plowed the only road out
Open mouth, to rapping, sold out
Even still the same old me
But I will not forget my roots
I wanna thank me
but I gotta thank you
Cause I wouldn’t have this
If it wasn’t for the moon

And I, don’t even know
Why it’s me you choose
So I’ll

I see a man in the moon
And he’s looking back at me
My hands are in tune, but my soul just won’t believe
I am what I do, but it feels like there’s no me
The man in the moon, the man in the moon
