Lyrics

When it’s midnight
The clouds they all breathe
When it’s midnight
The trees stare at me
When it’s midnight, the light tends to flee
When it’s midnight, am I still me?

So
Drive under the street lights, rewriting, every single sheet I’ve
Ever wrote down, like nope, zero now, the hope cloud vanished to leave mine
Ink blots from Dreams, thoughts cause the odds don’t mean jack to me boss
If he tossed the dice, and we fought
I’d still believe that even though we lost, I’d still come back to beat till he called
Even if I never had luck, even if the lever never ever was ever stuck
However, never is a long time, whatever, it sucks
I’m definitely up, next I mean, I’ll never give up
If heavens above, how do I levitate, uh
Would I make it to seventh step, or suffer a defeat, legitimate nah
A minute to pause, to limit the aud-io
no I mean the energy’s off
ah

When it’s midnight
The clouds they all breathe
When it’s midnight
The trees stare at me
When it’s midnight, the light tends to flee
When it’s midnight, am I still me?

Paranoia taking over, almost there, annoying
No avoiding, try to hide but know it’s only
6 or 7 feet behind, I try to focus, ibuprofen, knight in golden, night has fallen like Columbus, push and shove it, I divulge in
I swear they see me, I swear they have eyes
Can no one hear me? I swear I can’t lie
Is that one there? That’s my alibi
I’m classifying everything that always brings me to cry
Or makes me vulnerable, my moments gone, it’s overruled, no home improvement goin on, they all but knew it, almost fooled
holding on to hope for something good to come, and it when it does, poof then gone
It’s moving on to someone better, open up
Never, I’ll never I’m adamant, i’d rather take my cuticles
Out like one by one, than spill my guts to you and show
Who knows, maybe one day I’ll choose but no, kudos
Might be Standing here before you, but I’ll poof to smoke

When it’s midnight
The clouds they all breathe
When it’s midnight
The trees stare at me
When it’s midnight, the light tends to flee
When it’s midnight, am I still me?
